Pet Bowls-3D Sculpted

Here are some examples of my sculptured ceramic elevated bowls. They are ALL SOLD but I am taking orders for new ones. These are $250 plus shipping. I can do dogs sitting, standing, lying down, doing a play bow, multiple dogs, dogs in nature with trees and flowers and birds and squirrels etc. These take hours to make by hand out of clay, then they have to dry for a few days, then they get fired in a kiln and then it takes hours to paint with multiple coats of ceramic glaze.  These are beautiful works of art that do not have to be moved as they come with removable stainless-steel bowls that are just picked up and thrown in the dishwasher to clean. I can make them with pint size bowls or quart size.

I also keep mine filled with water at all times except when I am feeding and then I switch out for a food bowl. The actual stainless steel removable bowl is inexpensive, so you can have multiple back ups as they are a standard size that is easy to purchase. To read about the health benefits of using a raised feeder and using stainless steel, scroll down to the very bottom of this page.  If you would like me to make you one or more elevated bowls, allow me plenty of time, as I work full time teaching art in my local community and have other orders too. Thanks for your patience and understanding!

Some Additional Notes on these elevated  feeders...

As a dog lover and breeder for over 30 years, I’ve purchased many pet bowls only to be disappointed by their appearance or performance. As an artist, I decided to take matters into my own hands (literally). Now, finally, an attractive and highly functional pet bowl that you don’t feel you have to hide when guests come to visit! This elegant, elevated bowl is a hand-crafted work of art to be displayed and enjoyed, adding beauty to any room in your home and is perfect for both dogs and cats.

Because these bowl holders are ceramic, they are sturdy, tip-proof and chew-proof. They come with a removable stainless steel bowl, which is the safest pet bowl material as it is durable, dishwasher-safe, easy to keep clean and lasts a life time as opposed to plastic food bowls, which can get small scratches over time that trap and hold bacteria which cannot be removed with normal cleaning. Some pets even develop an allergic reaction to the plastic and experts report that some plastics may emit BPA and other dangerous chemicals which can leach into your pet’s food. The stainless steel bowl avoids these hazards and is a standard size so that you can easily purchase additional ones at most pet stores.

As to the design, there are a number of other health reasons many veterinarians recommend an elevated bowl. For one, it places less strain on your pet’s neck, hips, shoulders and joints by promoting better posture. Raised pet bowls are especially recommended for pets of advanced age and those with arthritis. Also, by elevating food and water bowls, digestion is improved and the risk of choking is reduced.

As a practical matter, using elevated pet bowls helps to minimize the sloppy behavior of pets  who like to splash the water out of their bowl and on the floor. It prevents bowls from sliding across the floor as your pet is trying to enjoy dinner, providing a stable feeding surface rather than a bowl that has to be chased around. Raised bowls also mean you don't have to bend down as far when filling the bowls, eliminating unnecessary strain on your back.

I have greatly enjoyed these elevated bowls and know you will too as they can last a life time, are healthier for your pet and add beauty to your home.

Here are my dogs showing how they work.  I keep mine filled with water all day and then switch out for a food bowl at feeding time.

UPDATE FROM CLIENT: I love these feeders! unlike other ceramic spaniel bowls, these have the added elevated health benefit and they do not have to be picked up constantly, increasing the risk of the breaking them. All you have to do is remove the unbreakable stainless steel bowl and it can just be thrown in the dishwasher and you can have multiple bowls as back ups as they are in a standard size that are easy to obtain.
